How to use this font generator
- Type or paste into Your text (500 characters at most).
- Scroll the list or press a filter such as Bold or For Instagram.
- Press Copy beside a style. If copying is blocked, tap the sample text and copy it yourself.
- Paste it into your bio, caption, nickname or message. For Zalgo, set Glitch intensity from 1 to 8 first.
These are Unicode characters, not fonts
This tool swaps each letter for a styled lookalike character. The bold B is U+1D401 MATHEMATICAL BOLD CAPITAL B, from the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block. A few slots there, such as script B and italic h, are reserved because those letters already exist in Letterlike Symbols, so the tool uses the older characters.
Only the English letters A to Z and the digits 0 to 9 change shape; accents, emoji and other alphabets stay as typed. Your text never leaves your browser.
Worked example with the default text
With the default text "Your text here" (14 characters), Bold shows ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ญ๐๐ฑ๐ญ ๐ก๐๐ซ๐, because Y (U+0059) becomes U+1D418. Script shows ๐ดโด๐๐ ๐โฏ๐๐ ๐ฝโฏ๐โฏ, with o and e taken from Letterlike Symbols (U+2134, U+212F). Upside Down shows วษนวษฅ สxวส ษนnoโ , and Strikethrough puts a mark after every character, so its copy is 28 characters long.
Bold text
Bold, Bold Italic and Sans Bold stand in for the bold button most apps lack.
Cursive text
Script and Bold Script are the cursive styles. Fraktur is the old English or gothic look.
Small text
Small Caps turns hello into สแดสสแด, Superscript raises it (สฐแตหกหกแต) and Subscript lowers it. The letter q has no widely supported superscript, and b, c, d, f, g, q, w, y and z have no subscript.
Strikethrough text
Strikethrough adds a combining line (U+0336) after each character, so it works without a strike button, but a few apps strip combining marks. To undo it, paste the text into the accent stripper and tick Plain ASCII output.
Upside down text
Upside Down flips each letter and number and reverses the order, so it reads correctly when you turn your screen. For reversed order alone, use the text reverser.
Instagram fonts
Instagram accepts these styles in your bio, name field and captions, but your @username allows only letters, numbers, periods and underscores, so pick a plain handle with the username generator. The social media counter checks the 150 character bio limit, and the emoji picker adds emoji.
Discord fonts
Discord shows these in messages, nicknames and display names, but a unique username must stay plain. In messages, Discord's own markup is safer: ** for bold, ~~ for strikethrough.
Limits and edge cases
- Most styles keep your capitals, so fix the case first with the text case converter. Small Caps, Squared, Parenthesized, Subscript, Regional Indicator, the filled styles and the lookalike styles ignore case.
- Zalgo repeats exactly for the same text and intensity.
Font generator FAQ
Are these real fonts?
No. They are ordinary Unicode characters that look like styled letters, so they paste anywhere and your app's font does not change. Using them is free.
Do these fonts work on iPhone and Android, and why do some show as boxes?
Most styles display on current iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows devices. A box means the device or app has no font with that character, as in older software and some email programs. Bold, Italic and Sans have the widest support.
Can I use fancy text in my Instagram bio or as a Discord name?
Yes for an Instagram bio, name field and captions, and for Discord display names, nicknames and messages. No for the @username on either.
Are fancy fonts bad for accessibility and search?
They can be. Screen readers often announce each letter as a math symbol, or skip it, and search does not match styled letters with plain ones. Keep names, links and anything people must find or hear in plain text.
Do fancy letters count as extra characters?
Often. X counts many styled letters as 2 of its 280 characters, and each combining mark adds one more. The social media counter's X row shows the real count.
